TIPS IN CAPTURING A GOOD PHOTO: Part 3

Tip number 5: Pick a Good Background

In taking a insect macro picture, is really awesome if you have a good camera. But you also need to consider the background. A good background will result a high possibility of a nice and lovely picture of an insects. If you spot an insect near a garbage can, it could be nice if it's a fly. But if it's a butterfly, it's not really nice to take a picture of a butterfly near garbage. A floral background will make the butterfly stand out and it's beauty will shown.

In this picture, a simple floral background shown the beauty of the butterfly. As you can see, the background is simple but elegant. Background can bring big impact in insects macro photography world. To add a simple technique, if the insect is far from the background you should use a second flash to illuminate the background from the insect

Tip number 6: Always check-up your Gear

Before going outside to hunt for an insect. You should always check your gears/gadgets because it's really not cool if you have the angles then you gadget will fail to take a shot. Before going outside (or even at night before you go to sleep) you should check if everything works perfect. A beautiful shout is really really hard to find. You must be ready because some insects cannot be pleased, like Wasp and Bees.

Tip number 7: Aiming Angles

As a photographer, you should always explore. In insects macro photography angles are really important. A single is not enough to take a goo picture. Some insects are really fast and they always move. So as photographer you should wait (Tip number 1: Have A Long Patience). Different angles are important in any fields of photography.

In this picture you can see that the angle of the camera doesn't center the model/insect (spider). It is nice to take different angles because sometime insects go from one corner to another and it can also bring the picture like their alive. A top view is nice but always aim for the eyes of the insects. It's their assets.
